An international investment and holding company with over a hundred leading brands in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Agricultural Inputs, Industrial Chemicals, Homecare Products and Pharmaceuticals is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers
- Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
- Monitor and control and further update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
- Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production
- Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company
- Attend CFT meetings with the legal team, engineering team, vendors and suppliers
- Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approve purchase orders and organize and confirm delivery of goods and services.
- Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
- Oversee and manage the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Prepare procurement reports.
Experience & Other Requirements
- A Degree preferably Engr. or packaging background
- Minimum of 10 Years’ experience in Procurement of RM/PM & NON BOM material, Expert in inventory management, Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (Navision)
- Solid influencing skills.
- Thorough and problem-solving abilities
